In 1959, Art Niemann went to work for W. Clement Stone and Combined Insurance Company of America. Later that year, Art attended a two-week workshop that would change his career-and his life-for the better. At that time, Walter V. Clarke was personally teaching the AVA Analyst Certification course in Florida. Art and other AVA Analysts at Combined Insurance used the concepts of AVA and PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) to achieve tremendous growth in the organization during the 1960's and 70's. In 1974, Art brought the AVA system to Pat Ryan and Associates in Chicago Illinois where they again utilized the program with outstanding results.

In 1980, Art founded his own company with a license to market AVA to the automotive industry. Art spent the ensuing years customizing the AVA program to meet the specific needs of automotive dealerships and related industries. In the 1990's, Art Niemann & Company diversified into broader markets bringing the time-proven AVA system to a variety of businesses and organizations throughout the US and Canada.
